Max Coltheart
Max Coltheart (born April 16, 1939 in Melbourne ) is an Australian psychologist , honorary professor at the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland and emeritus professor of cognitive research at Macquarie University . He formulated the Dual Route Model of reading, which is based on a lexical and a non-lexical processing route of visually perceived words.
biography
Max Coltheart graduated from Bega High School in 1957. He then studied philosophy and psychology at the University of Sydney . In 1987 he became professor of psychology at Macquarie University and later director of the Macquarie Center for Cognitive Science. He is currently working on neuropsychology and computational psychology.
