background
Max Don't Have Sex with Your Ex was sung by Lyane Leigh and rapped by David Brandes . The text is about the main character Max, who initially tells the story in first person form, has sex with both his girlfriend and his ex-girlfriend. In the chorus, however, he is asked in you-form not to do this because it makes his life too “complex”. The corresponding music video has a comic-book look. This was initially only intended to save costs, however it became a trademark of E-Rotic after its release.
The single was a great success for E-Rotic. Subsequently, work was carried out on the album Sex Affairs . Only the second single Fred Come to Bed was more successful for the project than Max Don't Have Sex with Your Ex .
