Max Streicher ( spelling MAX STREICHER ) is an international construction , technology and service company based in Deggendorf, Bavaria . The string group employs over 3,500 people at around 30 locations worldwide.
history
The family business was founded in 1909 by the master builder Max Streicher. Until the Second World War, the company concentrated mainly on road construction . In 1951, Streicher's nephew Max Gallinger took over management of the company. In 1971 the Streicher company was converted into a limited partnership with Max Gallinger as a personally liable partner. In 1974 he set up the Gallinger Max Foundation, which is committed to social and charitable projects to this day. After German reunification , the first subsidiary in the new federal states was established in Jena . The managing director Max Gallinger died in 1991. After his death, Max Gallinger's foundation became the company's main shareholder. In 2001 the KG became a partnership limited by shares with Max Streicher Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG as the personally liable partner.
Range of services
Today the company is active in the fields of pipeline and plant construction, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, raw and building materials with branches and subsidiaries in Germany and abroad. The pipeline and plant construction division includes a. the divisions pipeline construction and plant construction. Streicher is involved in many major national and international projects, such as the expansion of the gas supply structure. In mechanical engineering, Streicher is active in the areas of apparatus engineering, drilling technology, process engineering, carousel construction and model making and measuring machines. In carousel construction, the well-known German manufacturer of amusement rides and roller coasters Zierer Carousel and Special Machine Construction is owned by the group of companies. Another important pillar of the company is still the civil engineering division with the areas of road construction, bridge construction, hydraulic engineering, landfill construction, industrial and structural engineering as well as sewer construction. The raw and building materials business area supplies its own and third-party construction sites with materials and includes asphalt mixing plants, quarries and gravel works, sand and gravel extraction and the acceptance of building materials.
