Max Weißkirchen (born October 18, 1996 in Bonn ) is a German badminton player .

Career

Max Weißkirchen took part in the Badminton Junior World Championships in 2013 and 2014. In 2014 he also started at the Summer Youth Olympic Games. With the 1st BC Beuel he won bronze in the Bundesliga in 2014. Internationally, he won the Croatian Juniors, the Portuguese Juniors, the Bulgarian Juniors, the Slovak Juniors and the Belgian Juniors. The Welsh International in 2014 he finished second in the Norwegian International 2014 third place. In 2015, Max Weißkirchen became Junior European Champion in mixed and Vice European Champion in men's singles in Poland (Lubin). In 2018 Max Weißkirchen became German champion in the men's singles. In 2019, Max Weißkirchen defended his title in the men's singles and was also German champion in the men's doubles. This feat was last achieved by a player 32 years ago. In February 2020, Max Weißkirchen defended his individual title and became German individual champion for the third time in a row. He also became runner-up in mixed and won bronze in men's doubles. In the same month, Weißkirchen won the title at the Austrian Open, winning a tournament in the "International Challenge" category for the first time. This made it into the top 100 in the world rankings.
