Maximarkt ( spelled in lower case) is a subsidiary of Interspar and this in turn is owned by SPAR Austria .

history

The company was founded in Linz in 1969. The aim was to create a family-friendly supermarket that also sells non-food items.

The owner was Raiffeisen Ware Austria until 2002 . However, as part of a restructuring process, Maximarkt was sold to Interspar.
