Maximilian Feldmann

Maximilian Feldmann (* 1985 in East Berlin ) is a German director and filmmaker .

Feldmann studied documentary film at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy . This created Caracas , a haunting image of our society , about (his own) depression, which was shown at Dok Leipzig in 2013 .

His graduation film Valentina , a portrait of a young Macedonian, premiered at the 66th Berlinale 2016 (Perspective German Cinema format), gained international recognition, awards such as the Michael Ballhaus Prize (First Steps) , "Best Documentary" Filmschau Baden- Württemberg , Filmfest Poitier (Special Jury Prize, Audience Prize and Amnesty International France Prize), DokumentART (Prize of the Greifswald Student Union), as well as the Offenburg Shorts and was nominated for the German Human Rights Film Prize .

The film was celebrated in the press as one of the 15 highlights of the 66th Berlinale 2016 (Spiegel Online). The filmmakers report on their website what happens to the protagonists after the film. It was clear to Feldmann that he would also take responsibility with the film work. (Deutschlandfunk)
