Maximilian Roch
Maximilian Roch (* 1793 in Breslau ; † 1862 in Rome ) was a German landscape and vedute painter .
After studying at the Royal Prussian Academy of the Arts in Berlin, he went on a study trip to Italy. There he created many drawings and oil paintings. After returning home, he continued to work as a landscape and vedute painter. In 1830 he created his main work - the view of the Berlin Palace from the Spree side, which is now in the collections of the Berlin Old National Gallery . Two of his pictures were added to the collections of King Friedrich Wilhelm III in 1838 . bought by Prussia.
