Mazan (comic artist)
Pierre Lavaud , known as Mazan (born February 24, 1968 in Périgueux ) is a French comic artist .
After completing his training as a sculptor, he studied comic drawing from 1985 to 1989 at the Angoulême art college . In 1995 he founded the "Sanzot" studio with a few colleagues. In 2006 he was a lecturer at the comic seminar .
Mazan has received numerous awards in France and abroad, and in 1998 the children's illustrated classics received the Max and Moritz Prize for the best German-language comic book publication.
