The Mbum is an Adamaua language of Cameroon spoken by over 51,000 people.

The speakers are mostly bilingual with French , some - especially older people - can use Fulfulde as a second language . The language is also known as Buna, Mboum, Mboumtiba, and Wuna.

The standard dialect of the language is the Gbete dialect .
