McCurd

McCurd Lorry Mfg. Co. Ltd. was a British commercial vehicle manufacturer from the 1910s.

McCurd has only manufactured trucks at the Hayes site for a relatively short period of time . Between the years 1912 and 1914 the engineer WA McCurd built a number of hooded vehicles with a payload of 2.3 and five tons. The drive took place via worm wheels . Production was suspended during the First World War , but was resumed after the end of the war. In 1921 the company was given up. In 1925 it was revived under the name McCurd Motors . The production now took place in Slough in the south of England . A few 2.5-tonne trucks were still being manufactured until production was finally ceased in 1927.
