The measuring fields oak (ND32) is a natural monument west of the central Hessian town of Hungen in the district of Gießen . The pedunculate oak is freely accessible on the southern edge of the “Herborn” forest in the Hungen city forest, north of the Gießen – Gelnhausen railway line .

The single tree was planted around 1650 and is located in the area of ​​the village of Messfelden, which became desolate around 1400 . The oak was designated as a natural monument on July 15, 1903. The trunk circumference is 7.40 meters, the height 18 meters.
