The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Baseball League (abbreviated MVBL ) is the only baseball - League in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . As there is currently no regional association of the German Baseball and Softball Association in the state , the Hamburg Baseball and Softball Association and the Schleswig-Holstein Baseball and Softball Association (together: S / HBV) are involved in the organization of the game, which began in 2011.
founding
Until the Rostock Bucaneros and Rostock Grizzlys were founded in 2009, there was no baseball sport in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Since two teams are not enough for a league operation, the two Rostock teams tried to establish more. So initially the Rügen Predators and the Schwerin Diamonds were created . These four teams founded the MVBL on December 10, 2010.
