The anniversary medal “70 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR” ( Russian Юбилейная медаль “70 лет Вооружённых Сил СССР” Jubileinaya medal “70 let Vooruschonnych Sil SSSR” ) was an award of the Soviet Union on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Union on January 24, 1988 was donated in one step.

The medal was worn on the left chest of the entrant on a pentagonal red clasp with a green hem, in the middle of which a vertical central stripe in the colors yellow-gray-yellow is woven. The interim clasp is of the same quality. 9,842,160 medals were awarded.
