Medal "Veteran of Labor"
The "Labor Veteran" medal was established on January 18, 1974 by decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR .
Appearance and wearing style
The medal consists of a round silver-colored medal with a hammer and sickle on the front. Below is the lettering " СССР " from behind which some rays of the sun come out. Under the hammer and sickle there is a branch of laurel and a scroll with the inscription " ВЕТЕРАН ТРУДА " ( Weteran truda 'Veteran of Labor'). On the back of the medal is written in 4 lines " ЗА ДОЛГОЛЕТНИЙ ДОБРОСОВЕСТНЫЙ ТРУД " ( Sa dolgoletni dobrosowestny trud 'For many years of conscientious work'). The medal hangs on a pentagonal white ribbon with 3 red stripes on the right side.
The medal is worn on the left breast and after the medal “For heroic work in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945” .
