Medal of the Belgian Tirailleurs

The Belgian Tirailleurs Medal was a Portuguese award.

The badge of honor was donated by Queen Maria of the House of Braganza on December 24th, 1835. The occasion was the restoration of their power through units of Belgian tirailleurs .

Order decoration

The decoration of the order was the image of the queen surrounded by the motto “Amor et Qbedientia spes publica” and the coat of arms of Portugal on the back with the motto “Rainha, Patria, Liberdade” .

Ribbon and way of wearing

The ribbon was colored in the national colors light blue and white lengthways to the same width. The award was worn on the left side of the chest.
