Medal for self-sacrificing work in wartime

The medal for self-sacrificing activity in wartime was on November 10, 1915 by Prince Heinrich XXVII. Donated by Reuss in recognition of meritorious achievements in the field of charity on the occasion of the First World War .

The badge of honor is a round medal made of bronze and shows on the front center the crowned initial of the donor H and below the Roman numerals XXVII . On the reverse, enclosed by an oak wreath , the five-line inscription FOR FAITHFUL WORK IN IRON TIME 1914 .

The award was worn on a yellow ribbon with black and red stripes on the left chest.
