The medal for the capture of Warsaw was a Russian award and honored those involved in the battles for the capture of Warsaw during the Polish November Uprising on August 26th July. / 7th September  1831 greg. persons involved on the part of the Russian troops . It was a medal of merit .

Order decoration

The silver decoration of the order was a medal with the imperial three-times crowned double eagle with breast shield and the imperial insignia in the claws on one side and the inscription of the occasion: "For the capture of Warsaw on August 25th and 26th, 1831" (according to the Julian calendar ). The other side of the decoration had the motto of the order "benefit, honor, fame". All inscriptions are in Cyrillic script.

Ribbon

The medal was worn on a blue ribbon with black edges.
