The medal “For the Turkish War” ( Russian Медаль “За турецкую войну” ) was a Russian award. It was donated by Tsar Nicholas I as a silver medal on October 1, 1829. The award was intended to honor the participants in the Turkish campaign of 1828 and 1829 . This medal was intended for the army , navy and voluntary militia.

Order decoration

The silver order decoration is a medal me 26 millimeters in diameter, which is standing on one side of an orthodox cross with halo lying on a crescent. On the margin are the dates 1828. on the left and 1829. on the right . On the back of a laurel wreath is on the edge with a band at the bottom and in the middle the motto of the order "ЗА - ТУРЕЦКУЮ - ВОЙНУ" (For the Turkish War) as a three-line inscription.

The ribbon is the Saint George ribbon .
