Medal for long military service

The Medal for Long Military Service , or Medaglia di Anzianita , was a badge of honor in the Duchy of Lucca .

The founder was Duke Carl Ludwig and the date of the foundation was June 1, 1833. Vienna was chosen as the foundation location. The badge of honor was set up for officers with 30 years of service, but who had to apply through an application.

Order decoration

The order decoration was a golden straight-armed paw cross with a central shield, in which the crowned name CL of the founder was on the obverse and in the reverse the number 30 in Roman numerals "XXX" for the period of service. A broad edge of the cross arms enclosed a lower surface. The eyelet was attached to the upper cross arm.

Ribbon and way of wearing

The ribbon was light blue with yellow stripes. The award was worn on the left side of the chest.
