The medal for the 30th anniversary of Romania's liberation from fascist rule ( Romanian Medalia 30 de ani de la eliberarea României de sub dominația fascistă ) was a state award of the Socialist Republic of Romania . The foundation took place on June 19, 1974, the Decree 151 of the Council of State ( Consiliul de stat ). The statutes were published on June 21, 1974 in the Romanian state gazette ( Buletinul oficial ) No. 58. The medal, which was donated in one class, was awarded to people who contributed to the building of socialism and the liberation of Romania from fascism had made.

Appearance and wearing style

The obverse of the silver-oxidized medal shows three people in the form of a worker, a farmer and an intellectual. The worker pictured in the middle is holding a waving flag of the Romanian Communist Party in his hand. A semicircular wreath of laurel branches can be seen under the three people, in the middle of which there is a loop with the numbers XXX . The reverse of the medal shows the two-line inscription: 30 / DE ANI within a laurel wreath and the inscription DE LA ELIBERAREA ROMANIEI DE SUB DOMINATIA FASCISTA .

The medal was worn on the left chest of the recipient on a 35 mm wide red ribbon with a central stripe in the colors white-red-yellow-blue-white. A clasp was placed on the tape, showing a silver-colored beret with the inscription: 23 August 1944–1974 .
