The Medela AG is a Swiss medical technology company headquartered in Baar in the Canton train .

history

Medela, based in the canton of Zug / Switzerland, was founded in 1961 by Olle Larsson. Today the company is run by his son Michael Larsson. Medela has two divisions, "Human Milk" for the development and manufacture of breastfeeding products and total solutions, and "Healthcare", which specializes in the development and manufacture of medical vacuum technology solutions. Medela conducts basic research together with specialists and universities and uses the research results in the development of its products. The company has 19 subsidiaries in Europe, North America and Asia and sells its products together with independent partners in over 100 countries. The company employs over 1,700 people worldwide, 440 of them in the Swiss canton of Zug.
