The Medi-Globe Group is a corporate amalgamation of globally active companies from the gastroenterology, urology and pulmonology sectors, which offer a medical technology product portfolio primarily for clinical needs, but also for care in the outpatient and homecare sectors. The group's headquarters are in Rohrdorf OT-Achenmühle in Upper Bavaria.

Corporate structure

The Medi-Globe Group was founded in 1990 in Irvine, California / USA. A few years later the company headquarters was relocated to Rohrdorf OT Achenmühle in Upper Bavaria. The Medi-Globe Group employs around 690 people at 20 locations worldwide.

The London-based investment company Duke Street has been the majority owner of the Medi-Globe Group since 2016, with the associated companies operating as independent corporations managed by the Medi-Globe Technologies GmbH holding company.

The Medi-Globe Group sells products in over 120 countries and thus achieves an annual turnover of more than 130 million euros (2019). In addition to the headquarters in Bavaria and a modern logistics center in Velen (North Rhine-Westphalia), there are branches and production facilities in France, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Hong Kong, Austria and Croatia. In addition, the Medi-Globe Group cooperates with global trading partners.

Martin Lehner is the Chief Executive Officer. Martin Lehner, born in 1968, has a degree in business administration from the University of Kempten (Germany). As CEO, he has worked for several private equity portfolios and public companies in the medical technology, telemedicine and B2B sectors for over 10 years. He is responsible for strategy, sales, marketing, R&D and human resources.

Divisions

The companies of the Medi-Globe Group develop and produce minimally invasive single-use products for diagnostics and therapy as well as for incontinence care. Customers are mainly clinics and practices. Urotech GmbH (founded in 1989) and Urovision GmbH (founded in 1997) have been part of the group since 2001 and 2002 respectively and offer products and services for urology . The focus of the two companies based in Rohrdorf OT Achenmühle is on the categories of nephrostomy, stone treatment, suprapubic urinary diversion and urodynamics . While Urotech is more focused on the development of products for the therapy of stone diseases, uroVision concentrates on products for the homecare area.

Specializing in products and services for gastroenterology and pulmonology are the companies Medi-Globe GmbH (part of the consortium since 1996), Endo-Flex GmbH (founded in 1984, part of the group of companies since 1998) and France-based Asept Inmed (founded in 1991, part of the group since 2000). With a different focus, the three companies offer medical instruments and accessories for flexible endoscopy. These include custom-made products and product innovations such as the EUS and EBUS biopsy fine needle system SonoTip TopGain, which was developed in 2019. Additional areas of indication are stenosis management, hemostasis , papillotomy , polypectomy and stone removal.

Another company of the Medi-Globe Group is the Herrenberg-based Asid Bonz GmbH (founded in 1811, part of the consortium since 2000). Asid Bonz GmbH offers medical consumables for the areas of anesthesia , surgery and urology.
