The Gulf of Chiriquí Marine National Park (Parque Nacional Marino Golfo de Chiriquí) is a national park located in the Chiriquí province in southwestern Panama .
It includes the mainland, coast and islands (the most important are Isla Boca Brava , Isla de San José , Isla Bolaños , Isla Gámez and Isla Parida ).
Flora and fauna
Sea turtles lay their eggs on the islands' numerous beaches, iguanas and various species of frogs are common. The bare-throated tiger heron can easily be spotted, as can the small yellow singer bird Dendroica petechia erithacorides, which is threatened with extinction . The red-backed pigeon , the yellow-cheeked parrot , the brown- cheeked parakeet and the budgie parakeet are often seen . Groups of howler monkeys , raccoons and agoutis can be found on the islands .
Coconut palms grow closer to the water; There are various types of cedar in the forests , as well as Rosa Poui and Ginkgo .
Fire and pore corals grow in the archipelago , in which unusual fish such as the Galapagos angelfish or parrot fish hide, but also reef sharks .

The park is relatively difficult to get to. One reaches the village of Horconcitos via the Panamericana ; from there by boat to Boca Brava, where boat tours can be booked.
