The Megalestris Hill ( French Colline des Mégalestris ) is a 35 m high hill in the southern part of Petermann Island in the Wilhelm Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula .
Participants in the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) were the first to map it. The expedition leader and polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot named the mountain after a name for the Antarctic skua, which is no longer in use . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee transferred the French name to English in 1953. On the hill there is a cairn with a plaque for the Charcots Expedition, which is one of the Historic Places and Monuments in Antarctica (HSM-27).
