The polygonal dolmen in the long hill

The megalithic complexes of Sløserup (also Sløsserup) are located on Sløsserupvej, south of the village Sløsserup in Guldborgsund Municipality on the Danish island of Lolland . It is a polygonal barn in the long hill and a passage grave in the round hill.

The long hill

The almost square north-south oriented hill measures 12.5 × 11.0 m and is more disturbed on the north and west side. The very large stones in the enclosure have partly collapsed. 18 are in situ . Approximately in the middle of the 2.5 m high hill is a polygonal chamber made of five supporting stones, of which the northwestern one is tilted inwards. The very large capstone is sometimes overgrown with nettles and herbs. The entrance to the chamber with a threshold stone and a bearing stone of the corridor on the east side is, as one of the rarer cases, in the north. The dolmen is about 15 m from a public road.

Round hill

The passage grave in the round hill

The roughly 2.6 m high and 18 × 14.7 m measuring remnant of the hill has a roughly teardrop-shaped outline and houses a passage grave . Nine supporting stones can be seen from the chamber, which measures around 7.3 × 1.9 m on the outside. three of the original four capstones are in situ. The stone to the south of the chamber is probably the rolled fourth capstone. About 5 m south of the center of the chamber, near the edge of the hill, there is a massive stone - possibly another bearing stone. Numerous other stones lie all over the hill. The facility is only 10 meters from the county road.

Dolmen

The dolmen in Frostrup Skov (also called Birket Runddysse) is located in the forest in the small remains of a hill 5 to 6 m in diameter. The chamber consists of five supporting stones, three of which carry the approximately 2.0 m long, 80 cm wide and 1.0 m high capstone, the bottom of which has been flattened. The stones are pretty small, they slipped inside. Several are divided. Two are rectangular porphyry blocks . The corridor is about 1.0 m long. Its width cannot be determined because the stones fell inwards.
