The megaliths of Saa can be found 15 kilometers northeast of the city of Nganbé (sometimes also called Babimbi) in the province of Littoral in Cameroon . The megaliths belong to the Limbum municipality .

Two groups of megaliths can be found within three to four kilometers of the village of Saa.

  • The first can be found at Saa-Mbura. The megaliths extend over an area of approx. 1 km².
  • The second group is in Saa-Machup. The stones are aligned in a line or arranged in circles or a square. Like linked elements, there are round flat panels, monoliths, and fitted pieces.

An exact dating of the origin of the megaliths of Saa is not yet possible. But similar to the megaliths of Tazunu de Bouar in the Central African Republic , they are estimated to be before the beginning of our era.

Since April 18, 2006 the megaliths of Saa have been on the list of proposals for UNESCO World Heritage .
