Littoral ( German  coast , see litoral ) is a region of Cameroon with the capital Douala .

geography

The region is located in the west of the country and borders in the north on the Ouest / West region , in the east on the Center region , in the southeast on the Sud / South region , in the southwest on the Atlantic Ocean and in the west on the Sud-Ouest / Southwest region . The Douala-Edea Game Reserve is in the province. On the border to the neighboring province are the 2,411 meter high extinct volcano Manengouba and Mount Kupe , these form the eastern borders of the Bakossi Mountains, which together form a biodiversity hotspot .
