Megha Mittal

Megha Mittal (born November 20, 1976 in Calcutta , India ) is an Indian entrepreneur and was the owner and chairwoman of the board of directors of the German luxury fashion brand Escada from November 2009 to October 2019 .

Career

Megha Mittal grew up as the daughter of a yarn manufacturer in India until her studies . She was at the Wharton School of Business and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics with a focus on finance and strategic management . She then moved to the investment bank Goldman Sachs as an investment analyst in the research department. In 2003 she received a degree in interior design from the Inchbald School of Design.

In November 2009 she acquired the company Escada, which had filed for bankruptcy in August of the same year. In September 2019 it was announced that Mittal plans to sell the fashion brand again. At the end of October 2019, Mittal sells the Escada company to the Californian financial investor Regent.

Megha has been married to Aditya Mittal , CFO (Chief Financial Officer) of ArcelorMittal , since 1998 . They met while studying in the United States. You live in London and have two daughters.
