Mehmet Günsür (actor)

Mehmet Günsür (born May 8, 1975 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish film actor .

Günsür is better known in Turkey and Italy than in German-speaking countries. Since 1997 he has appeared in more than 15 films as an actor in front of the camera. In 1998 he received the Most Promising Actor Award at the Ankara International Film Festival for the role of Mehmet in the film Hamam - The Turkish Bath .

He portrayed the apostle John in the two Bible adaptations Judas and Thomas . In the Italian film biography John XXIII. - For a world in peace (Il Papa buono) from 2003, in which the life story of Pope John XXIII. is told, Günsür embodied a Roman Catholic priest.
