Mehmet Kadri Şander Gürbüz

Mehmet Kadri Şander Gürbüz (born August 26, 1953 in Ankara , Turkey ) is a retired diplomat from Turkey.

Career

Gürbüz graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Vienna in 1976 and received his doctorate in 1979 from the same university. This was followed by various posts in the Turkish Foreign Ministry. From 2009 to 2011 he was the Turkish ambassador to Tanzania and from 2012 to 2016 advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and advisor to the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

From 2016 to 2018, Gürbüz was Turkey's ambassador to Indonesia and East Timor and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). He handed over his accreditation for East Timor at the beginning of 2017.

Gürbüz is married and has two children. He speaks English and German.
