Multi- group neumes consist of several group neumes of Gregorian chant . The groups can consist of graphic sub-units as well as musical sub-units.

At the beginning of the Kyrie of the Missa Orbis factor , the first "e" of the "eléison" is decorated with a multi-group neume, which consists of three triple tonum:

  1. Scandicus - three tones in an upward direction
  2. Climacus - three tones in a downward direction
  3. Climacus - three more tones in a downward direction
