Multi-loading weapon

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cartridges can be loaded into the internal magazine of a rifle with the help of a loading strip .

Multi-loading weapons , also called multi-loading guns , are firearms that have a device for holding several cartridges at the same time, usually in the form of a magazine .

After the loaded magazine is in the weapon, the first cartridge is inserted into the chamber via a manually operated mechanism . After the shot has been fired, the empty cartridge case is ejected via a manually (with repeating weapons ) or automatically operated mechanism (with automatic firearms and semi-automatic firearms) and a new cartridge is loaded from the magazine into the chamber and locked by the breech for another shot.

This means that multi-loaders differ from single- shot weapons , in which a cartridge must be manually loaded into the chamber or a loading recess before each shot.
