Mehtap Oezaslan

Mehtap Oezaslan (also Mehtap Özaslan, born in Berlin ) is professor for technical electrocatalysis at the TU Braunschweig .

education and profession

Oezaslan studied chemistry at the Technical University of Berlin and graduated with a diploma in Reinhard Schomäcker's group . From January 2008 to February 2012 she did her PhD in the group of Peter Strasser at the TU Berlin . From November 2012 to July 2014 she worked as a scientist at the Paul Scherrer Institute . In August 2014 she became junior professor for electrochemistry at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg . Since June 2019 she has been a professor at the TU Braunschweig .

Awards

She has received several awards in her career. In 2003, 2004 and 2005 she received a Klaus Koch scholarship. In 2007 she was awarded the Clara von Simons Prize from the TU Berlin . From 2012 to 2014 she was part of the Robert Bosch Stiftung Fast Track Program . In 2014 she received the Umicore Scientific Award.

research

Her research includes fuel cells, water electrolysis, CO 2 reduction, and electrocatalysis.
