Meinhard Schröder (lawyer, 1978)

Meinhard Schröder (* 1978 in Bonn ) is a German law scholar and professor at the University of Passau .

Life

After graduating from high school in Trier in 1997 and completing basic military service, Schröder began studying law at the University of Munich in 1998 . There he passed his first state examination in law in 2003 and completed his legal clerkship at the Munich Higher Regional Court . He finished this in 2005 with the second state examination. Since 2003 he has been working as a research assistant for Hans-Jürgen Papier at the University of Munich. There, Schröder, who has since been appointed to the temporary academic council, obtained his doctorate in 2009. jur. In 2014 he completed his habilitation, with which he received the Venia legendi for public law, among other things.

From 2014 to 2015, Schröder initially held a chair at the University of Konstanz before being appointed senior councilor at the Institute for Politics and Public Law at the University of Munich in 2016. In the same year he took a chair at the University of Passau . It is there that he has held the chair for public law and information technology law since the 2016/17 winter semester.
