Master of the vision of John
The Cologne Master of the Johannes Vision (or Cologne Master of the Johannes Vision ) is a Gothic painter who has remained anonymous to this day and who worked in Cologne in the middle of the 15th century . His emergency name goes back to the panel painting he created. John looks at the throne vision of the Apocalypse of John. His work shows influence from contemporary Dutch painting such as B. by Rogier van der Weyden . Maybe he was a student of the master of the Darmstadt Passion .
Status of identification
One tried unsuccessfully to recognize either Hans von Memmingen or Jorge the painter in him.
