Master of Cappenberg
A late Gothic painter who had created a small-format winged altar around 1500 for what was then the Cappenberg Collegiate Church in the southern Münsterland region was referred to in art history as Master von Cappenberg until around 1950 . Later, the late medieval works previously listed under this emergency name could be identified as being by Jan Baegert (1465–1527).
The image of a donor in a hunting costume , oil tempera on oak wood, is attributed to him. Other works:
- Holy Family in the Minster
- Crucifixion in a parish church in Copenhagen
- Crucifixion of Christ in the Pinakothek in Munich
