Master builder of cooperative production

The honorary title of master builder of cooperative production was a state award of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was awarded in the form of a medal. The title was donated on April 28, 1960 and was the successor to the previously awarded honorary title of master builder . It was awarded for special achievements in the socialist competition in agriculture in the GDR , primarily for increasing production in this area. The maximum number of honorary degrees awarded was limited to 300 from 1960 to 1963 and to 600 from 1964 onwards. A certificate and a bonus were usually given with the title. This title was also discontinued on December 31, 1977, and was succeeded by the new honorary title of Honored Cooperative Farmer of the German Democratic Republic .

Appearance

The bronze medal with a diameter of 31.5 mm shows on its obverse three ears in the middle that partially cover a hammer behind it. The symbol is separated from the inscription: MASTER BUILDER OF COOPERATIVE PRODUCTION around a small ring . The reverse of the medal, on the other hand, shows the flying dove of peace , which is shifted slightly upwards .

Carrying method

The medal was worn on the upper left side of the chest on a 23 × 10 mm green-covered ribbon, which is vertically traversed in the middle by a 4.5 mm wide central stripe, which is held in the order black-red-gold-red-black. The interim brace is of the same quality.
