The Melbert Rocks are ledges in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . On the Edward VII Peninsula, they rise immediately northwest of Mount Paterson in the Rockefeller Mountains .

Participants of the American Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1920–1930) discovered the rocks during an overflight on January 27, 1929. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1971 after George W. Melbert of the United States Navy , an assistant on the Byrd- Station in 1966.
