Meliesallee 17
The listed building Meliesallee 17 in Düsseldorf-Benrath was built in 1925 based on a design by the architect Georg Schmalz. In terms of style, the building is related to the Hannemann house , which is considered an “English country house with echoes of Palladianism” and a “typical example of the almost exclusively conservative modernism in country house construction of those years”. The house is also considered an example of a “dominant trend in those years”. Stylistically, the house is comparable to Theodor Merrill's houses in Cologne.
