Memmenhausen

Memmenhausen is a district of the municipality of Aichen in the Swabian district of Günzburg ( Bavaria ). On January 1st, 1976 Memmenhausen and Obergessertshausen merged to form the new municipality of Aichen.

The parish village can be reached via State Road 2027 .

history

Memmenhausen was first mentioned in 1070 as the Guelph ministerial seat. The place came to the rule of Seifriedsberg around 1615 via the St. Moritz monastery in Augsburg . There were further changes of ownership until the end of the Holy Roman Empire .
