Memory mapping
In computer technology, the English term memory mapping refers to the so-called memory display. There is memory mapped I / O and caching of a data record. With memory mapped I / O, the external memory of a component on the motherboard (e.g. graphics card ) is faded into the main memory ("mapped") to enable faster access to it (instead of interface access ). When the file is faded into the main memory, an area of the file is faded into a memory area of a running process . Writing to the memory area causes indirect write access to the file.
