Mendelssohn Complete Edition

The Mendelssohn Complete Edition ( Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Leipzig Edition of the Works ) is a scholarly-critical edition of all works by the composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy . The first complete edition was brought into being in 1959 by the International Felix Mendelssohn Society in Basel in collaboration with the Berlin State Library and the Leipzig German Publishing House for Music. The edition has been continued at the Saxon Academy of Sciences since 1992 and is now funded by the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Foundation . The edition has been published by Breitkopf & Härtel since then .

About 80 volumes of music with integrated critical reports are planned, as well as about 75 volumes of letters, writings and diaries. In addition, an as yet undetermined number of document volumes and a thematic-bibliographical catalog of works are to be published.
