Menderes Mehmet Tevfik Türel (born July 11, 1964 in Antalya ) is a Turkish politician who was mayor of the city of Antalya from 2004 to 2009 and from 2014 to 2019. He is a member of the Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi (AKP) .

Türel, who studied journalism in the United Kingdom and worked as a journalist in Antalya for many years, was elected to the Board of Members of the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 1992 at the age of 28. From November 21, 1997 to November 25, 1999 he was Deputy President of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was elected President of the Board of Directors on November 14, 2001. Türel held this office until January 22, 2004, when he resigned to run for the office of mayor of Antalya. He won the elections on March 28 of that year with 33.47% of the vote. On March 30, 2014, Türel was re-elected as Mayor of Antalya with 36.40%.

In the local elections in 2019 , Türel ran again for the AKP, but was defeated by Muhittin Böcek from the CHP , who received around 50.6% of the vote.

Türel is married and has two children.
