The Menglerbau

The Menglerbau is the first high- rise residential building in Heidelberg and still the only one in the city center. It was completed in 1961 and is located on the corner of Rohrbacher Straße and Kurfürstenanlage on the site of the former Heidelberg main station , which was relocated in 1955 and then demolished. It is named after its builder Jakob Wilhelm Mengler .
