Menhir by Bodewryd

The menhir of Bodewryd (also called Carreg Lefn , Maen Pres , Plas Bodewryd or The Smooth Stone ) is a 3.5 meter high menhir ( Welsh Maen hir - English standing stone ) on the island of Anglesey in Wales .

The menhir, one of the tallest on the island, stands near the road, but covered by thick hedges, in a field on Plas Bodewryd Farm.

There are two legends associated with the stone. The first is that at a certain time of the day you will find treasure buried around your shadow in the ground. The second relates to a supposed inscription on the stone. When it is unraveled, buried treasures can be found.
