Menhir from Elsdorf

The Elsdorf menhir is a 100 cm high and 90 cm wide grooved stone made of red granite from the municipality of Elsdorf in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in Lower Saxony . He was found in a meadow between an elevation and a stream where more boulders had been pushed together. The groove of the menhir is 85 cm long.

Today it is on display in the “ Anderlingen Stone Room ” and is part of the “ Selsingen Stone Experience Route ”.
