Anderlingen ( Low German Annerlingen ) is a municipality in the Selsingen municipality in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in Lower Saxony . Anderlingen covers an area of 35.67 square kilometers.

Neighboring communities
In the north Anderlingen borders on Farven , in the east on the district of Stade (municipalities Brest and Ahlerstedt ), in the south on Heeslingen and in the west on the Selsingen base center and in the northwest on Deinstedt .

The landscape is characterized by meadows and forests, there are only a few small forests and moors that have remained uncultivated.
The Twiste , a tributary of the Oste , which has its source near Winderswohlde , flows through the community for 16 km .

Because of its peripheral location, the community is only served by two district roads . On the one hand there is the K 169, which leads from Farven in the north via Fehrenbruch and Grafel to Selsingen to the B 71 in the west, and on the other hand the K 110, which leads from Heeslingen in the south via Sassenholz and flows into the K 118 near Malstedt .
history
The Bronze Age stone box from Anderlingen found in the district of Anderlingen, dismantled there and rebuilt next to the Lower Saxony State Museum in Hanover shows three human figures on the southern end stone , which is therefore known far beyond the region under the name Anderlinger Bildstein . It is considered to be one of the most important Bronze Age finds in northern Germany and served as a template for the town's current coat of arms.
On March 1, 1974, the communities Grafel and Ohrel were incorporated.

The council of the community of Anderlingen consists of nine council members and councilors. The council elected council member Irene Barth (WG Anderlingen) as honorary mayor for the current electoral term. For personal reasons she resigned prematurely and handed over the office to her deputy Friedhelm Brunckhorst.
Culture and sights
Anderlinger sun
In October 2014 the “Anderlinger Sonne” was unveiled, a model of the sun with a diameter of around two meters. The model is the central point of a stone planetarium between Anderlingen and Haaßel. It shows the planets on a scale of 1: 700 million. The stone planetarium is part of the stone adventure route from Anderlingen.
Memorial stones
In the center of the village there is a memorial stone that commemorates Heinrich Behnken and his father Lütje Behnken (also named Lütje Micheels after farm No. 5 Micheels Hus ): Lütje Behnken was born in Anderlingen.
