history
Prehistory and early history
The Bronze Age stone box from Anderlingen found in the district of Anderlingen, dismantled there and rebuilt next to the Lower Saxony State Museum in Hanover shows three human figures on the southern end stone , which is therefore known far beyond the region under the name Anderlinger Bildstein . It is considered to be one of the most important Bronze Age finds in northern Germany and served as a template for the town's current coat of arms.
middle Ages
Anderlingen is mentioned for the first time in a document in the 12th century (although an exact date is missing), namely in connection with the tithe donations from Bishop Hermann von Verden († 1167) to the Verden cathedral chapter (→ Verden Cathedral ), the high level of hospitality. The donation is handed down in a - lost - list of the dead from the 13th century, from which the Verden bishops' chronicle, probably written in 1332 and continued into the 15th century, was drawn. This chronicle calls the village in a distorted form " Thunderlings ".
Administrative history
During the French era , from 1810 to 1811, Anderlingen belonged to the Mairie Anderlingen in the canton of Selsingen in the Kingdom of Westphalia and from 1811 to 1814 under Napoleon to the Mairie Selsingen in the canton of Zeven directly to the French Empire .
Before 1859, Anderlingen belonged to the Börde Selsingen in the Zeven office . The Börde Selsingen changed in the course of the administrative reform of 1859 in the Kingdom of Hanover to the Bremervörde office .
The Bremervörde office was opened in 1885 in the Bremervörde district , which merged with the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in 1977 .
From 1970 to 1974 Anderlingen was part of the Selsingen municipality . On March 1, 1974, the new community of Anderlingen was formed from the communities of Grafel , Ohrel and Anderlingen as part of the regional reform .

Stone planetarium
The Steinplanetarium is part of the SteinErlebnisRoute . It is a model of the solar system on a scale of 1: 700 million and is intended to show the extent of the planetary system. The center of the stone planetarium is the 2 m high sun in Anderlingen. The distance from there to the outermost planet Neptune is 6 km. Since stone is the main part of the open-air planetarium between Anderlingen and Haaßel , the name Steinplanetarium was chosen .
Burial mound
Near the original location of the barrow, in which the Anderlinger Bildstein with the stone box was found, a newly heaped grave mound was built to convey the appearance of the original grave mound. A park with various boulders and plants was created around it.
