Location of Ohrel in Lower Saxony

Ohrel ( Low German Ohrel ) is a district of the municipality of Anderlingen in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) in Lower Saxony .

Geographical location

Ohrel is located in the Stader Geest five kilometers northeast of Selsingen .

The Duxbach rises to the north of the village , while the Haaßeler Bruch nature reserve lies to the southwest . A little to the east of the village are two barrows that are registered as natural monuments.

history

For the year 1848 it is stated that Ohrel had 25 residential buildings with 129 inhabitants. At that time the place formed a community association with Ölkershusen and Windershusen . On December 1, 1910, the place had 235 inhabitants.

On March 1, 1974, the municipality of Ohrel was incorporated into Anderlingen and incorporated into the Selsingen municipality.
