geography

Geographical location

The Duxbach runs from its origin in Ohrel to its confluence with the Bever in Plönjeshausen (Bremervörde) in the upper reaches, the section of the river shortly after its formation, largely straightened.

environment

flora

Due to the lack of wood on the banks of the river, there is sometimes a lot of weeds - especially due to the waterweed .

Water quality

The biological water quality investigation was carried out in 1994 and the chemical-physical water analysis in 1995. The Duxbach was classified in water quality class II "moderately polluted". There are high concentrations of nitrogen ( ammonium and nitrate ) and oxygen-consuming substances (organic carbons) in the water . (Measuring point in Deinstedt )

Trivia

The Lower Saxony Water Management, Coastal Defense and Nature Protection lists the Duxbach as water bodies "WK 30026 Duxbach underflow" and "WK 30025 Duxbach headwaters" and classifies them as "waters without priority".
